Snotrocket

Snotrocket were formed in about 1993 when myself and my pal Chris gave up on our band "Orange" and joined with Craig and Pud from "Saliva" to form a new group. Two half bands making a whole in the school corridor, the way things are meant to work.

Initially we played covers of Nirvana and whatever we were in to, before writing our own songs which quickly took us in a mellower more psychedelic direction. We practised in Mrs. Norman's classroom at lunchtime once a week before playing at two music open nights between the brass band and the recorder group! Over time we changed drummers as Chris was replaced by Fabien the french assistant and then by a girl that Craig fancied, my pal Dave from Gala and then another girl who Craig insists he didn't fancy.

I moved house when I was 15 and Pud inexplictably sold his bass that summer, which brought a premature end to Snotrocket.
That summer we recorded the only Snotrocket recording on an Amstrad studio 100 4-track in the hall of Burnfoot Church. Craig put together some artwork and a t-shirt and Snotrocket "leaves" came into existance, almost as the band ceased to exist.

Pud was as mad as a box of frogs back then; Craig tried to capture that in the pud mixes. Craig just stuck a mic in front of him and he started talking!
